Rebecca Black, who are you?

This is actually the worst video/song that I've ever heard. I am legit trying to think of a worse song, but I can't. I would rather listen to William Hung and the Bed Intruder Remix because at least they're funny. This is just painful. The video has like 7 million hits, it went viral over the weekend apparently because of how horrible it sounds. God, even with auto-tune, I can barely stand it, I wonder what the song sounds like with her real voice?

"Yesterday was Thursday / Today it is Friday / Tomorrow is Saturday / And Sunday comes afterward." Really?

Oscars 2011 Fashion: Hot Mess All Around

From what I'm seeing on this year's red carpet, it's mostly hot mess. There isn't that much color, although more red than usual. I'm underwhelmed... last year I felt there was more avant-garde choices. Here are the nominees (& click the images to englarge!):

Winners
--
I mostly like these pieces because they use color. I'm tired of the nude color trend, it is so boring. I especially LOVE LOVE LOVE Mila Kunis' choice, the dress shape is absolutely perfect. Ugh, so classy!

Hot Messes
--
Where do I even start? Scarlett Johannson definitely looks the worst here. I mean, besides that I hate Scarlett Johannson regularly, even when she's wearing good looking clothes, looking at her now makes me close to vomiting. God, people, you're at the Oscars, can you try not to look like such a freaking mess?!

Completely Mediocre
--
Most of the celebs, in my opinion, looked either completely mediocre, or straight up gross. I couldn't find anyone that made me say "WOW! you can pull that off" or "OMG, so classy", with maybe the exception of Mila. Reese was my only big disappointment, only because I know she can do better than this. Well, maybe next year...

M.I.A. - XXXO

Not your best video, M.I.A... it looks like it was made in 2001 for an asian avenue page (anyone? asian avenue?). Maybe it's just me, but sexual being is not Maya's most fitting persona. Crazy biotch would be my vote, but that's just my opinion.

Who Wrote the Maxim Hot 100?

Because its seriously misinformed. First of all, the fact that Britney Spears is #54 and people like Eliza Dushku and Emmy Rossum are higher up immediately lets me know that Maxim is not a credible source. Not to mention that Emmy Rossum isn't even remotely relevant anymore. Stephanie Pratt should for sure not be 36 places above Kristen Cavallari, just because Rihanna got beat up doesn't make her hot (no pity votes), and I'm not even sure if Emma Roberts is old enough to be in Maxim.

They're trying to tell me STEPHANIE PRATT is hot?

I also don't even know 50% of the girls listed, which lets me know that the men reading this list probably don't know about 90% because let's be real, I'm more informed about useless celebrity information than the average human being. And finally, their #1 is Katy Perry. VOMVOMVOM.

Read this terribly out of order list written here. Next year they should pay me to do it. No, actually, I don't even want their money, I just don't want them to publish such an embarrassingly untrue piece and claim it's a hot 100.

faves and faux pas

Watched the oscars last night to look at the beautiful gowns and watch movies I've never seen or even heard of get awards (obviously I need to stop going to movies like Valentine's Day). My favorite dressers of the night:

I'm pretty sure both Zoe Saldana and Vera Farmiga have been listed on various worst dressed oscars lists, but most people making those lists are probably wearing Hollister when they type the rough draft in their shitty apartment in some expensive city where they're trying to make it in journalism (and let me tell you, chances are slim whoever wrote the worst dressed list on moviefone.com). Anyways, I chose these four based on how interesting artistically the dress was, not how practical aka boring, although in Cameron Diaz's case, she is both practical and interesting. It's the Oscars, like when else would you wear a fabulously overly avant-garde long dress? Zoe is wearing Givenchy Haute Couture, Cameron is wearing Oscar de la Renta (and looking extremely classy), Vera is wearing Marchesa, and Rachel is wearing Elie Saab. And I'm wearing a men's t-shirt and nike shorts and I definitely need to wash my hair.

At least I don't look like these hot messes. Geez
